Scope
Focus is an independent product operated by Aditya Kumar Puri in India. This policy applies to this website, the Focus waitlist, its optional survey, transactional emails, and related support messages.
What the waitlist collects
- Your email address and whether you volunteered for beta testing.
- Signup time, source, form version, browser locale, referring page, browser user-agent, and campaign parameters included in the link you used.
- A salted, one-way hash of your network address used to rate-limit submissions. The application does not write the raw address to its waitlist tables.
- A request ID and email-delivery records including receipt status, retry count, provider message ID, and a short provider error when delivery fails.
- Any optional survey answers you choose to save, such as a broad age range, gender, work context, focus challenge, device platform, and which Focus tool you are most excited to try. The survey link contains an access token, not your email address.
- Cookieless funnel events containing an allowlisted event name, page path, source label, and server-recorded time. These events do not include an email address, network hash, or user identifier.
Focus does not set advertising cookies or run session replay, fingerprinting, or advertising trackers. The Journey page's X embed loads only if you choose “View original post.” If you open it, X receives a request and may process technical data under its own privacy policy.
Why we use it
- Create and maintain your waitlist record.
- Send your waitlist receipt and access-related messages.
- Record whether you volunteered for beta testing.
- Rate-limit submissions and diagnose signup or email-delivery failures.
- Measure aggregate signup sources and basic waitlist conversion.
- Review optional survey answers in aggregate to understand which people, problems, devices, and tools early Focus should support.
Where a legal basis is required, we process information to provide the waitlist you request, for our legitimate interests in operating and securing it, and with consent where required for optional communications or survey answers.
We do not sell your information, use it for third-party advertising, or make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist records and submitted survey answers are kept until you ask for deletion or they are no longer needed to operate the waitlist.
- Hashed rate-limit attempts are removed after 30 days.
- Email delivery records are kept only as long as needed to prevent duplicate receipts and diagnose delivery.
- Cookieless funnel events are removed after 13 months.
- Records required for security, disputes, or law may be retained for the relevant obligation and then deleted or anonymised.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your information; object to certain uses; withdraw consent; or complain to your local data-protection authority.
Email contact@getfocus.fun from the address you joined with. We may ask for enough information to verify the request. You may also ask us to stop non-essential email.
Security and changes
Security
Database connections require encryption outside local development; credentials are stored in environment settings; network addresses are salted before hashing; submissions are rate-limited; and application logs omit submitted email addresses. No online service can promise absolute security, so suspected issues should be reported to contact@getfocus.fun.
Changes
We will update the date above when this notice changes. If a change materially affects how existing waitlist information is used, we will provide notice before the new use begins where required.
